This project was for a brand new Joinery company based in Motherwell, Scotland. The brief was for me to design the logo for this start up. I thought it be a good idea to make the logo big and bold so that it can stand out within it’s industry as these logo’s tend to have a bold layout.
The typeface I picked to highlight this is Anton Regular. To me this is bold enough to represent a joinery company. The colours were actually chosen before the design, as the green is the colour from the van the client uses to do their daily job. I do actually think this colour is a little different from what you would usually see from this field, so this is another way in which the logo can stand out.
I created a few mock-ups with the logo printed on various elements, incluidng the green van, to see what the final product might acheive for the client. I then mocked up some designs on t-shirts, hoodies and business cards to show them how their new logo would appear.
